LUIS JUNQUERA
I’ve just released the intro for a Netflix series that ranked as the second most-watched show worldwide during its release week.
So before I start listing my credits, I want you to watch the last 30 seconds of something I directed:
Good. Now I can introduce myself.
I’m Luis Junquera.
I created and used to run an animation studio called The Angry Metal Company.
It’s closed now.
Through that studio, I directed and produced Netflix series, indie video games, music videos with millions of views, award-winning short films, and one day I even competed at CANNESERIES. But I didn’t win.
Now I offer my services as an animation director, animator, or storyboard artist.
Among the work I’m most proud of, I’d highlight the projects I directed and produced with my Angry Metal team:
- All the 2D and 3D animated sequences for the Netflix series Guardians of Justice.
- One of the highest-rated episodes of the horror series Creepshow.
- The pitch that led to the creation of one of Netflix’s best adult animated series: Captain Laserhawk A Blood Dragon Remix.
- All the animation, trailers, and cutscenes for the video gameJay and Silent Bob: Chronic Blunt Punch.
- All the art and animation for Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland.
- Music videos with millions of views for GUNSHIP: Dark All Day and Doom Dance.
- I recently directed the intro for Devil May Cry Season 2. Above.
- And my personal favorite: the legendary short film that gave Pokémon a dark, adult ending. The End Of Pokemon.

I’ve done more things. If you want access to all of them, this is the homepage of my website.
If you only have 3 minutes, THIS VIDEO sums up my greatest hits up to 2020.
I don’t have social media, so I don’t hang around LinkedIn groups, I don’t hand my work over to ArtStation so AI bots can crawl it and turn it into dog-food meatloaf, and I don’t take my clothes off on OnlyFans.
Nothing against anyone who does any of that.
I just don’t.
If you’d like us to work together, you can contact me through the form.
I’m an old-school animator.
